Welcome to Troop 993's website! Troop 993 was chartered in 1958 by the Wesley United Methodist Church and has been proudly serving the community for over 50 years! The troop meets every Monday night at 7:30 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church, located at 8412 Richmond Avenue, Alexandria, VA 22309. Troop 993 subscribes to the three aims of Scouting: Teaching boys values, citizenship and physical fitness. Additionally, the troop actively provides service to the community. We strongly adhere to the boy-run, boy-led troop philosophy, with adult leaders acting as mentors and advisors.

Colonial District Camporee

A reminder to sign up for the next Troop campout, which is the Colonial District camporee. We need to submit names, form patrols, menu plan etc. the week prior, so we need to know who is going. This is a fun event with Patrol challenges, opening and closing ceremonies, a huge campfire, a special patch and lots more. Plus we'll be hosting some Webelos for dinner.

Service Hours Opportunity

Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church is looking for volunteers to help serve Friday dinners to members of the community less fortunate than us, and to help clean up afterwards. This is a non-religious event and with Scoutmaster approval you can earn service hours. Service Project at WUMC - Sept 30

Come help with some gardening and landscaping around WUMC.  Pizza will be provided for anyone that comes out to help!  Bring gloves, water bottle, and any garden tools (trowel, rakes, clippers, etc).  Counts for service hours!  9/30 4:00 at WUMC.
